The BBGP2V is a 2-contact emergency release device for physically unlocking an electronic strike in emergency. Emergency releases are typically installed where there is no manual method of permanently unlocking an electronically locked door in an emergency. These units are usually electrically switched in-line (series) with residual current locks to cut power to the lock when the unit is activated. A protective cap to prevent accidental activation is included. After activation, the button must be reset using a special reset key.
