Always seeking simpler solutions to deploy and use, wireless access control has now established itself as a modern alternative to traditional wired systems. Thanks to radio technology, CDVI expands its range with flexible, quick-to-install, and long-lasting systems designed to make life easier for both installers and users.

How does radio technology work in access control?

A radio system relies on the transmission of a signal between two main components:
The transmitter (such as a remote control, a wireless keypad, or a mobile app)
The receiver, which captures the signal and triggers an action (door opening, gate lifting, barrier release, etc.)

These signals are exchanged via radio waves on dedicated frequencies (often 433 MHz or 868 MHz).
Unlike wired systems, radio technology requires no cabling between the two points — installation is therefore faster, cleaner, and perfectly suited for environments where running cables is difficult (older buildings, outdoor sites, renovations, etc.).

Security at the heart of radio technology

Security is a key element of radio access control, and CDVI solutions incorporate advanced communication protocols to ensure the confidentiality and reliability of exchanges between transmitters and receivers.
Each transmitted signal is encrypted and unique, preventing any attempt at copying or reusing the code.

CDVI products are based on KeeLoq® rolling code technology, a benchmark in radio security.
With each press of the remote control, a new 64-bit encrypted code is automatically generated using a proprietary algorithm.
This code is valid only once, then replaced upon the next use, a principle that makes any signal interception useless.

Thanks to this system, CDVI radio transmissions offer dynamic, unique, and tamper-proof authentication, ensuring a high level of protection for every access point.

The advantages of radio access control

CDVI’s radio access control offers fast, constraint-free installation — ideal for hard-to-reach or already equipped areas — while reducing costs.
Its flexibility allows you to control gates, doors, barriers, or shutters and to easily add or reconfigure equipment, offering an evolving and modular solution.
Fewer cables also mean reduced maintenance, long-term reliability, and low servicing needs.
Finally, thanks to the KeeLoq® rolling code and secure communication protocols, radio technology ensures a high level of protection, even in environments with strong interference.

CDVI radio solutions

CDVI offers a complete range of wireless radio access control solutions designed to meet all needs:
Radio transmitters and remotes – long range, enhanced security, compact design.
Radio receivers – simple or multifunction, allowing easy control of multiple devices.
Wireless keypad – practical and robust, ideal for outdoor or temporary access points.
Connected radio kits – composed of two transmitters and a receiver linked to a mobile app, offering convenient and modern remote control.

These solutions provide reliable, secure, and cable-free access control, while maintaining CDVI quality and compatibility.

A technology focused on simplicity and performance

With radio technology, CDVI strengthens its commitment to offering accessible, scalable, and high-performance access control solutions.
Combining installation freedom, security, and ease of use, radio has become an essential component of modern security systems.
